Manage and test proxies
Organize proxies with groups and notes, understand connection states, and safely edit, check, or delete nodes.
Updated Aug 24, 2026The Proxies page is both the node inventory and its maintenance workspace. It summarizes the total proxies in the current group, nodes available at the last check, nodes needing attention, and expiry reminders.
Use groups and descriptive details
Select the plus button in the group bar to create a group. A group is only for organization and filtering; it does not change how a proxy connects.
Each proxy can also record:
- Region: a manual label for the expected location.
- Provider: the source from which the proxy was obtained.
- Expiry date: expired nodes and nodes expiring within 30 days appear in the reminder count.
- Note: a purpose or maintenance reminder.
These fields do not control the network connection. An automatically detected exit city or country can differ from the manually entered region. When they differ, rely on the actual exit result and confirm the service details with the provider.
Understand connection states
| State | Meaning | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| Not checked | There is no result from the current device yet | Check before use |
| Excellent / Available | The most recent check succeeded | Still verify the exit and watch for later changes |
| Unstable | The connection succeeded with high latency | Retest several times and replace the node if needed |
| Unavailable | The most recent check could not complete a connection | Follow the diagnosis shown on the page |
A state describes only the most recent check; it is not an uptime guarantee. Check again after a proxy expires, its source restrictions change, or the device changes networks.
Choose a check type
- Check connection: checks the saved connection configuration and updates its state, latency, and diagnosis.
- Check full connection: checks a route with upstream proxies hop by hop and identifies the first failing hop.
- Check all: checks the proxies in the current list, which is useful after changing networks, provider maintenance, or a bulk import.
All checks originate from the current client through the device’s network. Do not switch groups, close the client, or repeatedly change the VPN or network during a check, because the result may not represent a stable state.
Review usage
A proxy row shows the browser profile currently using it. A multi-hop node also shows the connection order from the entry to its upstream proxies.
A profile is assigned only one entry proxy, but the complete upstream route is occupied by that profile. The same node or an overlapping route cannot also be assigned to another profile.
Edit a proxy
For a standard proxy, you can change the protocol, address, port, credentials, group, upstream proxy, and descriptive details. Run a new check immediately after changing a connection field.
An advanced proxy currently has no edit action. Any change to its connection configuration, group, upstream proxy, or descriptive details requires deleting and importing it again. Close the profile and remove the old assignment first, then delete the old record, import the replacement, and assign it.
Delete a proxy or group
Review usage before deleting a proxy. A profile using that proxy or its route may no longer start after deletion.
Deleting a group removes only the group itself. Its proxies remain available and move to Ungrouped. To remove those nodes as well, review their usage first and delete each proxy separately.
Team member permissions
Team members see only the proxies and related groups they are allowed to access. The main account controls whether a member can create proxies or modify assigned proxies. Only the main account can delete a proxy or proxy group.
If add, edit, or delete controls are missing, ask the main account to check permissions before signing in repeatedly or reinstalling the client.
