Why Can’t a Team Member See a Profile?

Separate member status, profile assignment, and edit permissions to troubleshoot a profile missing from a team member's list.

Updated Sep 6, 2026

When a member cannot see a profile, the most common cause is that the profile has not been assigned to that member. Feature permissions control which actions are allowed; they do not automatically expand profile visibility.

Let the owner check in order

  1. Confirm in the team member list that the member is still enabled.
  2. Open profile assignment for that member, search for the target profile, and confirm it is selected.
  3. Save the assignment, then ask the member to refresh the list or sign in again.
  4. If the profile is visible but cannot be edited, review the permission to modify assigned profiles and any other required capability.

Check the profile state separately

A session on another device or under another member does not hide an assigned profile or block a cross-device launch. An existing process on this device still prevents a duplicate local launch. Troubleshoot missing assignments or sign-in access separately from local running state and sync-version conflicts.

Review recent role changes

A disabled, removed, or reassigned member may still have stale state on an old client page. Refresh team data and the member session before granting every profile or permission merely to troubleshoot a temporary issue.

If it is still missing

Record the member email, target profile name, assignment save time, and visible message so the owner can review recent activity. Remove initial passwords, account credentials, and other sensitive details from diagnostic material.
