Fix a failed client update or download

Keep the working client, check network and disk conditions, and never run an installer that failed verification.

A download failure usually relates to network or disk conditions. A verification failure means the installer is incomplete or does not match what the client expected. Do not run it in either case.

Safe recovery

  1. Keep the current client version and existing installation.
  2. Check the network, free disk space, and security software notices.
  3. Reopen the client and download again from the official update flow.
  4. Continue only after verification succeeds.

If it fails repeatedly, record the current version, target version, and complete error message. Do not use a third-party link to bypass client verification.
